Salary : £40 - 60K

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading international engineering consultancy with a sought after expertise in the field of contaminated land. They are looking to appoint a principal contaminated land consultant with experience of leading projects and in particular a strong technical knowledge of UK planning framework. You will guide projects through the various planning/ground investigation stages culminating in the outcome that client’s desire.

Salary: £40,000-60,000 plus extensive benefits package including pension and private health cover.

Qualifications: You should educated to MSc/PhD level in a ground engineering discipline related to contaminated land (e.g. Geology). You should also be chartered and in possession of a full UK driving licence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading remediation and contaminated land ground investigations

• Liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies

• Advising clients as to which remediated land offers best commercial value whilst satisfying planning guidelines/SEA assessments

• Project managing multiple projects

• Attending strategic level meetings

• Peer reviewing work

• Working closely with planning teams
