We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Ecologist to join a leading environmental and engineering consultancy.

Our client are one of the worlds largest and most successful consultancies, providing expert advice to the public and private sector across the UK and Europe.

A Senior Ecologist is required to develop a Northern based ecological team, and assist in ecological business development alongside the UK environmental management team.

Located in a Leeds based office, you will work closely with the northern Principal Ecologist and wider national ecology team, with particular interaction amongst ecologists in Manchester, Cumbria and Newcastle. A proven track record in project management is essential, where you will be required to develop and maintain high standards amongst existing and new projects across the North and North East of England.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must have a strong ecological consultancy background, ideally showing team leadership and man management abilities within a previous Senior or technical role. A full UK driving license and IEEM membership will be sought after, in addition to strong fieldwork qualities evident by at least one protected species license (preferably a bat license if applicable).
