Our client, a large, well established, engineering consultancy is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to help assist with a number of up and coming, highly lucrative projects, on a permanent basis. Such projects will include working on a wide variety of Electrical systems in different types of buildings such as
commercial, retail, education and public and private housing. Past experience in the Rail sector would be beneficial but not essential. Successful applicants will be experienced Electrical Design Engineer who will have gained substantial previous experience from within a building services environment. Ideally candidates will have strong, concise design skills and will show a keen determination to progress in their chosen discipline. Successfully chosen candidates will be offered a generous start salary of £30-35,000 plus benefits.
Suitable Qualifications:
-Educated to a degree level in Electrical Engineering or a similar relevant discipline
-Clear and concise technical understanding in your primary area of expertise
-Previous experience in the design of relevant electrical systems such as; lighting and design, security, fire detection etc.
-Comprehensive understanding of Building Services Engineering
-Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
-Team player
Duties:
-Develop and present project design proposals according to client briefs
-Prepare drawings, specifications and equipment schedules
-Undertake all aspects of project management according to client request
-Take charge and assume clear responsibility as lead consultant for the project
-Attend and participate in conferences so as to remain up to date with new techniques and technologies
-Assist in working on a wide variety of Electrical systems in different types of buildings.
