This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Roads) to join a highly thought of, internationally recognised multidisciplinary consultancy in a team based in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and specification (including drawings) of road and amenity electrical system
s for various clients. Ideally the candidate will have gained a degree in a related Engineering subject and will either be Chartered or working towards Chartered status and trained towards professional recognised standards for carrying out design work. Successfully chosen applicants will be rewarded with a strong starting salary of £27-37,000 plus benefits.
In order to be seriously considered for the role candidates will have working knowledge of 17th edition and IEE wiring regulations and knowledge of relevant Electrical technical reports and typical client design standards such as HA, DMBR and MCHW. Candidates must have a keen desire to learn and progress quickly in their chosen career.
Working as an Electrical Engineer you will;
-Be responsible for the design and specification (including drawings) of road and amenity electrical systems for various clients
-Involved in Feasibility and design work for projects ranging from 15k to 4,000,000
-Liaise with Lighting Design Engineers
-Assist in project work in traffic signs
-Assistant in maintenance when required
-Liaise with clients
-Prepare contract documentation
