My client is seeking to recruit an Associate Town Planner to join their successful planning team that provides planning and engineering services to an array of influential clients.
This is a significant opportunity for someone with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience to join a consultancy that has built a world-class reputation i
n a wide variety of market sectors, including environment & infrastructure, public sector & services and development.
The successful Principal Town Planner will be involved in a range of multi-disciplinary projects liaising with clients and Project Directors to ensure that the high-quality service continues.
The ideal Principal Town Planner will hold either chartered or incorporated membership of the RTPI and be able to demonstrate experience of successfully managing multi-disciplinary project teams across a range of projects. Excellent financial management skills will be highly beneficial along with previous experience of compiling fee proposals and project budgets.
Previous consultancy experience is needed for this role due to the nature of the work and any client secondments will be advantageous to the Principal Town Planner.
The main responsibilities include:
*Identifying and managing both projects and commercial risks
*Completing projects within budget and in a timely manner
*Assisting with the business development of the office
*Preparing marketing initiatives, bids and fee proposals
*Managing all technical aspects of a range of projects, this includes reports, calculations, specifications and drawings
*Mentor, train and analyse the performance of team members
