Assistant Civil Engineer - Flood Alleviation

My client, a market leading, international Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialises in Drainage, Flood Risk, Flood Alleviation and Civil Engineering, is searching for an Assistant Civil Technician to join an established team of flood risk specialists based in Leeds.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in engineering including a HNC/HND and/or BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing or reviewing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes and SuDS Designs using Microdrainage or AutoCAD.

It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience completing Surface Water Management Plans.

As an Assistant Civil Technician, you will have the opportunity to join a team of experienced Civil Engineers and work on Flood Risk, Drainage and Flood Alleviation Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

  • Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Flood Risk Mapping.
  • Surface Water Management Plans.
  • Drainage Strategy and detailed Foul and Surface Water Drainage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.
  • Drainage Area Planning.
  • Flood Alleviation Schemes.
  • Flood Defence Schemes and Flood Gates.
