Penguin Recruitment are delighted to represent a highly successful multi-disciplinary consultancy who are looking for a dynamic Town Planner to join their expanding team based in Leeds and deliver a diverse range of projects of all scales.

The Town Planner will have a track record of handling and processing both minor and major applications/appeals. You will be managing your own work load, as well as supporting Associates and Planning Directors across all sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documents
  • Preparing of Policy representations
  • Working with clients on Enforcement matters
  • Preparing Appeal submissions
  • Development plan monitoring and representations
  • Giving oral evidence at Appeals and Examinations
  • Developing client relationships both new and existing
  • Environment Impact Assessment

The Town Planner will receive a competitive salary alongside full benefits. You will be working in a positive and professional environment, with the full support of the Planning Director in progressing you to Senior level and beyond.

The successful candidate must have at least 1 year post-graduate experience, a relevant RTPI accredited degree and/or Masters as noted above and have a full UK driving license. You should have a team player attitude but the confidence to work independently where required. It is also expected that you will hold excellent communication and rapport building skills.
