Assistant Landscape Architect

My client is a growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy with 4 busy offices located across the South of England. This business provides high quality technical services in the areas of Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning, Ecology, Arboriculture and Archaeology. Working in a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, education, public and private sector, this organisation is committed to maintaining a diverse client group and working on challenging and innovative projects. Due to continued workload and success, my client requires an Assistant Landscape Architect to join their Hampshire office.

Requirements

* Strong academic background with a degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
* At least 2 years’ professional experience in a similar position
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Organised, methodical and motivated
* Good knowledge and awareness of national and local planning policy
* Experience preparing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)
* Experience in the landscape planning sector
* Good knowledge of industry standard software, e.g. AutoCAD and Vectorworks
* Demonstrable experience in the production of various design drawings and excellent hand drawing skills
* Full, clean driving licence

Responsibilities

Working as an Assistant Landscape Architect, you will:

* Help deliver effective services to clients across a wide and varied range of sectors
* Have the chance to learn and progress whilst working alongside a team of talented professionals
* Assist in the preparation of bids and tenders
* Work on LVIAs across a range of development sectors
* Prepare and communicate drawings and designs
* Present technical reports to a high-standard
* Assisting with the day-to-day design work of the team
* Prepare Landscape Management and Maintenance Reports
* Produce detailed Landscape Design, both hard and soft
* Assist with the provision of Landscape Master Planning services
