Landscape Architect

My client, a growing Environmental Consultancy, provides high quality Environmental Planning and Landscape Architecture services to client projects throughout the region. This organisation pride themselves on their commitment to working closely with clients throughout their projects, providing expert guidance, planning and delivery across all phases of development. This business work throughout the North of England and Scotland on projects of varying scales and complexity, delivery sustainable solutions to sectors including energy, water, waste, minerals, infrastructure, commercial and residential. Due to continued growth and expansion plans, my client is looking for a talented Landscape Architect to join the team in Glasgow.

Requirements

* Degree and post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or closely related discipline
* Professional experience working in a similar position, ideally within a private consultancy
* Experience in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
* Experience working on projects in a range of sectors, ideally including mineral projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised; able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
* Happy to work independently with little supervision when necessary
* Ability to build long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients
* Strong working knowledge of industry standard software, such as Adobe InDesign, AutoCAD, Photoshop and ArcGIS

Responsibilities

* Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) work for a range of projects in the region, including slate and coal mineral projects, wind farms and solar farm proposals
* Design and assessment of commercial and residential developments
* A wide range of landscape design projects
* Public inquiry work
* Producing detailed designs and drawings, both by hand and using industry standard software
* Building long-lasting relationship with clients, ensuring their project needs are met and spotting opportunities for follow-up business
