My client, a leading landscape and garden design practice, are currently seeking a talented Landscape Designer to join their team based in Dorset. This practice offers expert services such as landscape architecture, landscape planning and design, planting and 3D visualisation to a wide range of client projects. This business work closely with their clients, offering technical advice and guidance throughout all aspects of their project. This organisation has a broad client group made up of architects, developers, local authorities, community groups and home owners.

Requirements

* Educated at least to degree level in landscape architecture, ideally with a post-graduate qualification
* A minimum of two years’ professional post-graduate experience in a similar position
* In depth understanding and experience of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
* Demonstrable ability of producing high quality written reports and documents
* Self-motivated; able to work well independently and with limited guidance
* Excellent working knowledge of industry standard software, e.g. Vectorworks Landmark, InDesign and Photoshop
* Experience producing detailed plans and drawings, demonstrating excellent attention to detail
* Ability to liaise with colleagues and clients professionally and effectively
* Organised and methodical; able to complete work under pressure and within given budget and time constraints
* Full UK driving licence

Duties/Responsibilities

Working as a Landscape Designer, you will be working for the Head of Studio, working alongside a wider team of Landscape Designers and Landscape Architects. Your main duties will include carrying out LVIAs, including site surveys and assessments, constraints and mitigation plans and producing photomontages and visualisations. You will also be required to produce written reports to the highest possible standards to meet clients’ expectations.

You will work closely with clients throughout all stages of their project, ensuring that all requirements are met effectively. You will maintain excellent working relationships and will identify opportunities for follow up business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include masterplanning, feasibility statements, design statements and specifications, planning applications, landscape and planting plans.
