Principal Sustainability Consultant

45,000 – 50,000 per annum

Our client, a growing consultancy based in London, are looking for an experienced Principal Sustainability Consultant to help grow and develop their established Sustainability team.

Our client’s current portfolio includes BREEAM and SKA assessments in the UK, across a range of sectors including new commercial, residential and fit out. Their clients include multinationals, retail corporations and housing providers.

Responsibilities will include:

* Preparing BREEAM/SKA pre-assessments, strategies and reports.
* Preparation of BREEAM/SKA specification documents.
* Assessment of evidence to BREEAM/SKA assessments.
* Preparing and delivering Design Team, client and contractor BREEAM/SKA review meetings.
* Preparing and delivering presentations to colleagues and clients.
* Preparing fee proposal, assisting with PQQs and Tenders
* Working to develop and grow their Sustainability consultancy
* Managing the Sustainability projects and team

Essential Requirements:

* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in one or more of the following subjects: Sustainability, Environmental Management, Geography and Engineering.
* Experience of providing BREEAM Certification assessment and consultancy.
* Current BREEAM qualification in the following:

* Licenced BREEAM New Construction Assessor (UK)
* Licensed Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor
* Licensed BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit Out Assessor

* BREEAM Accredited Professional (BREEAM AP).
* Experience of preparing detailed sustainable statements for planning applications
* Awareness of commercial issues relevant to delivery of BREEAM consultancy
* Proven ability to successfully identify and deliver business development initiatives.
* Proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with clients, colleagues and other project team members.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent literacy, communication, analytical and numeracy skills.

The client are looking for a Sustainability Professional to lead their UK business needs and develop future aspirations. A key role will be in the delivery and development of their sustainability and accreditation work stream. Along with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
