Acoustic Consultant

A rare opportunity has arisen within an international design and advisory consultancy with a number of offices across the UK and mainland Europe with particular expertise in property, transport, environment and water solutions. Due to an increase in workload specifically in the renewable energy sector an Acoustician with specific expertise in environmental assessment is required to project manage a number of key developments within the sector across the UK.

Qualifications
Ideally MSc/BSc Acoustics/Noise and Vibration

Experience
Acoustic consultancy experience
A keen interest in energy and urban regeneration
Technically competent and IT proficient
Commercially aware and team player
Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics
Strong project management skills.
The ability to produce technically accurate reports
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Full driving license

Duties
Carry out acoustic assessments, noise measurements and surveys and site inspections
Conducting base line surveys for Environmental Impact Assessments
Carry out data analysis as part of the on site monitoring process
Carry out accurate and representative noise predictions in the field of noise and planning
Supplying expert witness evidence on all aspects of acoustics, noise and vibration
Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
Project management
Writing high quality reports
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
