My client is a leading design and ecological consultancy specialising in high-profile and transformative projects from around the globe. This company is passionate about sustainability and safety and work to create harmony between production and environment. This client employs over 27,000 people and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Ecologist to carry on the good work in their Warrington office
As a Senior Ecologist your day to day activities will involve supporting a wide range of surveys (e.g. GCN, bat, water voles and badgers) while motivating your team to meet their targets and business goals. This client looks to identify and solve any constraints or obstacles a site may have before production, therefore, managing wildlife, researching human activity and building model predictions is expected. You will also be responsible for the preparation of fee proposals and other daily office work including data analysis and report writing. Communication is another big part of this role and you will be expected to attend company meeting, liaise with a range of clients and maintain support of the existing team of ecologists.
To be considered for the position of Senior Ecologist, you will need to have a degree in environmental science or a similar ecological discipline. You will need experience in team management and the ability to lead a team while issuing a wide range of ecological projects. Experience in conducting ecological and protected species surveys is vital to this position as well as producing species reports and assessments. It is necessary that you hold at least one protected species license, such as bat, GCN, or dormouse, as well as a membership belonging to the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
