My client, a leading Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an enthusiastic Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their team, based near Warrington.

This exciting opportunity will enable to successful candidate to work on a variety of projects including property development, engineering and construction, with a focus on Contaminated Land.

Candidates are required to have a strong degree, preferably within Geology, Environmental Science or a similar discipline. Completing modules within Environmental Science or Contaminated Land would be beneficial.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have demonstrable industry experience and be familiar with current environmental legislation related to ground water and contaminated land.

Having a Masters in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science with a focus on Contaminated Land investigation and assessment would be advantageous.

You will be expected to undertake both office and site work, completing site investigations, sampling and designing remediation projects. A large proportion of this role will include outdoor work, often spending extended periods of time away from the base office.

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

* The management and supervision of site investigations
* Supporting environment and remediation teams
* Site visits to complete sampling
* Supervising contractors
* Liaising with clients
* Creating and maintaining accurate records
* Using site investigation techniques for Contaminated Land, Hydrogeological and Geotechnical investigations
* Writing interpretive reports
* Analysing investigation results
* Assisting in the design of remediation projects

You must have excellent communication skills and be willing to take responsibility for project management, client liaisons and supervising contractors.

The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic, determined personality and possess good teamworking skills. You will be committed to progressing your career within the contaminated land sector.

As a significant proportion of this role will include visiting sites, candidates are required to have a UK drivers licence. Confidence in driving larger vehicles such as vans would be beneficial.
