Acoustic Consultant - Great Opportunity

My client, an award-winning multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Acoustic Consultant, to be based in Manchester.

It is essential that applicants hold a degree in an acoustics related discipline or equivalent; have at least three years of proven experience in environmental noise and vibration consultancy; as well as holding membership for the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA or AMIOA). You must be able to demonstrate good experience in the following areas:

* The EIA process
* Working with design teams, architects, clients and end users;
* Project management;
* A good understanding of the planning process;
* The standards and guidelines that govern the acoustics industry (e.g. BS4142 & BS5228);
* Noise & Vibration monitoring equipment;
* Noise modelling packages (e.g CadnaA);
* GIS & AutoCAD packages (advantageous)

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to lead or contribute to a wide range of development projects, predominantly in environmental noise, as well as taking responsibility for project finances.
