Penguin Recruitment is working with a leading engineering consultancy, with a history of over 150 years’, to bring in a Sustainability Project Lead to their Bournemouth office.

Sustainability Project Lead role is a client-facing one, working as a member of the Sustainability Team to deliver planning submissions, design work for compliance and to assist with ventilation design, with a number of additional duties, such as:

* Assisting in leading the project delivery of modelling work in SAP/IES to attain compliance with; Part L, TM59, TM52, TM54 and Environmental Assessments.
* Work with the team to gain a comprehensive brief in order to undertake modelling work.
* Ensure work is delivered to the highest quality standards.
* Provide design solutions to suit the client and project teams requirements.
* Assess compliance against Part L of the Building Regulations, TM52 and TM59 Overheating criteria.
* Undertake work in IES, SAP, Microsoft Office and other approved software.

To be considered for this Sustainability Project Lead role, you will ideally:

* Have experience working within the built environment sector, already with a sustainability or engineering consultancy – preferably 5 years’ minimum
* Have experience with the following fields: Energy and carbon strategies; Building Regulations Part L assessments using NHER/IES; HVAC network modelling; In-Use energy modelling and assessment; Dynamic modelling for thermal comfort assessments and overheating risk assessments; and Renewable energy feasibility studies
* Have an appreciation of broader sustainability issues, such as; sustainability governance and reporting, sustainability strategies, climate change adaptation, behaviour change, etc.
