Senior Forestry Consultant

My client, a market leading, UK based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Forestry Consultant to join their team based in Leeds.

Applicants are required to have a recognised Forestry qualification and membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.

Applicants are also required to have vast technical forestry abilities and experience completing forestry technical appendices and forestry chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments.

Candidates are also required to have a valid driving licence to attend site visits across the UK.

As a Senior Forestry Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work with Local Authorities across Scotland and Northern England. You will support the Arboriculture and Land Team to complete;

* Forestry Technical Appendices and Forestry Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments.
* Forestry Mensuration, Valuation, Thinning Control and Marketing.
* Obtain Felling Licenses.
* Woodland Management Plans and management of Farm and Estate Woodlands
* Preparing plans for new woodland establishment and applying for grants if required.
* Site Assessments for proposed windfarms within afforested areas.
* Liaise with Local Authorities to develop new business opportunities. This role comes with a competitive salary, specialist training, benefits package and career development.
