Qualification - Minimum of 2:1 BSC / BA or BENG or equivalent in Human Geography / Planning / Civil Engineering / Mathematics

Experience - Full Training provided

Salary - £17K - £24K

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented graduate to join one of the UK’s largest planning and design consultancies. My client has been established for over 40 years and also has a 250 million pound annual turnover.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Creating Traffic Management and Safety Schemes for all travelers

• Developing possible solutions to address transport problems

• Predicting future travel volumes under various travel conditions in different test scenarios, using sophisticated software packages

• Consulting parties affected by proposals for new transport schemes

• Designing surveys to collect and analyse data on a wide range of travel activities and subsequently analyzing the results

• Writing reports and presenting options and recommendations

• Providing project support

• Reporting to project managers and overall line managers

• Managing smaller projects to timescale budgets

About You

• Relevant educational qualifications such as a minimum of a 2:1 in a degree discipline such as Human Geography, Physics, Mathematics or Civil Engineering

• A strong interest in Transport Planning

• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

• Excellent report writing skills
