Salary : £27-35K+

Our client is an established civil, mechanical and structural engineering consultancy. They are looking to appoint an experienced geotechnical engineer who has strong experience of geotechnical SI and geotechnical design (e.g. slope stability and foundation design). There is excellent scope for professional development and you shall be working on interesting and technically complex projects across the Scottish Central Belt and beyond.

Qualifications: You should have a degree in a civil or geotechnical engineering discipline (this should ideally be to MSc/MEng level). You will need to have circa 4-8 years geotechnical SI and design experience, ideally within a consultancy setting.

Salary: £27,000-35,000 plus strong benefits package (starting salary is negotiable)

Duties include:

• Foundation selection and design

• Ground improvement design and specification

• Slope stability analysis

• Numerical analysis for geotechnical design (SLOPE/W)

• Desk studies

• Liaising with clients and contractors

• Site visits and walk overs

• Mentoring less experienced engineers and technicians

• Analysis, design and specification of earth retaining structures

• Project management
