Location - Ipswich

Qualification - You should hold a suitable degree in a relevant subject and preferably hold chartership or be working towards it

Experience - Circa 3 years experience working within highways and proficient in using CAD / AutoCAD

Salary - Up to £30K (salary negotiable)

My client is actively seeking a senior highways engineer to join their expanding team based at their modern office based in Ipswich. You will be joining a leading team responsible for detailing planning, design and construction information to a wide range of clients.

Duties:

• Prepare drawings and details to obtain technical approval for highway and ancillary drainage schemes

• Work with various legal and administrative procedures required to facilitate development

• Utility requirements and negotiations

• Preparation of contract documents

• Negotiation with local planning and highways authorities

• Detailed horizontal and vertical alignments design

• Expert witness public enquiries

• CDM planning supervision
