Description

One of the World's major integrated oil companies has requested Petroleum People's geoscience division to source a Structural Geologist to play an integral role in its UK operations. They are a pioneering force in E&P globally, constantly challenging their workforce and developing new advanced technologies in their exploration and production of oil and gas.

As a suitable professional acting as a focal point for structural analysis, a major function of your work will be to provide detailed structural models with an emphasis on faults and fracture seals. Solid experience with 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, as well as a clear understanding of basin dynamics, evolution, structural styles and deformation history will be necessary to succeed in this role. Whilst working closely with different asset teams internally, you will establish and collaborate with external organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years proven experience in structural geology working for a well respected oil company. Extensive experience in a variety of different structural settings and basins as well as knowledge of balancing and reconstruction techniques and software in Trap Tester or Stress would be highly advantageous.
