The Company

This midsize independent global operator with a range of E&P activities is looking to appoint a significant professional for its growing Middle Eastern office. They currently have a diverse portfolio of assets, including some in the GOM and certain high profile areas in the Middle East which they are looking to expand. With considerable investment going into new licences and exploration drilling campaigns they are looking to add a Lead Geophysicist to the team.

The Role

This role is specifically for an experienced professional so you must have a minimum of 15 years experience with an E&P operator, ideally having worked across multiple basins. Initially your role will be charged with 2D and 3D seismic interpretation for regional and new ventures work, including mapping and attribute measurements. Whilst working in a multi-disciplinary subsurface team you will essentially generate, evaluate prospects and recommend drilling locations. Drawing upon your experience in assessing sub surface risk of opportunity along with supporting the full E&P lifecycle assessment will be necessary to succeed in this diverse environment.

Skills and Experience Required

This role would ideally suit a Geophysicist who enjoys the technical work as well as the managerial side of the business whilst working in a multi-disciplinary subsurface team. Someone who thrives on the responsibility of working in a fully integrated team would be well positioned to succeed in the role, in a business which is renowned for considerable investment in both personnel and technological development.
