Description

Petroleum People's Geoscience practice has been retained to secure the expertise and leadership of a proven Explorationist to head up a team of Geoscientists, focussing on a prestigious exploration project offshore in South East Asia. This operator has invested heavily in the region, and is aiming to submit their well programme at the beginning of August. With the processing of newly acquired seismic underway, they are now looking for a seasoned professional to lead their exploration team in working up drillable prospects.

As a senior professional, you will lead a team of seven Geoscientists. You will be charged with QC of seismic interpretation across the regional exploration portfolio. You will oversee the integration of data, updating models in the exploration for new plays and prospects. This will involve risk and volumetric analysis, as well as mentoring and training of local staff. You will be responsible for delivering a $150 million project to a tight deadline.

As this role is specifically for an Exploration Team Leader, you will naturally have a minimum of 15 years working with a recognised independent operating company. Professionals from either a geological or a geophysical background will be considered equally. You will have in depth knowledge of South East Asian basins, with a quantifiable track record in the region.
