Description

My client is a European E&P business which has recently acquired new exploration licenses across Europe, Central America, and North and West Africa. Their achievements over the last decade in hydrocarbon discovery and production have come as a result of dedication to innovative E&P technologies and flawless HSE. In line with their acute recent success and in keeping with their global growth strategy, they are now looking to add the services of a Senior Geologist to their operation in West Africa.

As a suitable professional you will have a minimum of 15 years post education experience, and be fully conversant with the most contemporary E&P software. You will have in depth experience of working within a fully integrated subsurface team of geoscientists, and previous West African experience would be a substantial benefit.

Detailed knowledge of the full geological E&P lifecycle is essential to the role, which will involve tasks as wide ranging as initial basin evaluation and prospect generation, to developing well proposals and supervising drilling operations. In depth experience of sequence stratigraphy, wellsite operations, wire line logging and reservoir characterisation are all considered strong assets for this opportunity.
