Description

My client is a large independent E&P business with a comprehensive global portfolio of assets. Their momentous accomplishments in the industry draw their roots in the dynamism and pragmatic nature of the business' founding principles, which constantly drive it forward in the diversification of its asset base. Their operation in Scandinavia currently accounts for a considerable percentage of their worldwide production, making the Stavanger hub a real lynch pin of their global success. Not being a company to rest on its laurels however, they now wish to further build on this success by adding the services of a skilled Senior Petrophysicist.

As this is a senior role, clearly you will have a minimum of 10 years post education experience with a recognised operator in the Oil and Gas industry, and be conclusively versed with the most contemporary E&P software. You will be comfortable working within a fully integrated subsurface team of geoscientists, and previous North Sea experience is a prerequisite to the role.

This opportunity will involve regional studies, prospect evaluation and field appraisal studies. You will also provide full support to ongoing logging operations in the region. As a result, a multifaceted professional would flourish in this position. This opportunity will also involve mentoring and training of more junior petrophysicists. Independent work will be integral to the role which is why a motivated self starter would be the ideal profile fit.
