Title:                        Senior Geophysicist - EARTHPPL197

Location:               Canada

Terms:                    Local

Description

My client is a phenomenally successful integrated operator with a rapidly expanding portfolio of acreage across the full expanse of Canada, as well as other significant hydrocarbon hubs in the Far East. Their upwardly spiralling success has bred continued expansion since the company's inception, which has cemented their reputation as possibly the most significant E&P business in Canada. They invest heavily in resources in terms of both personnel and technology, but they also emphasise substantial investment in the community as part of their remarkable business model. With their world class plays now maturing, they are now looking to secure the services of a highly skilled geophysicist to help in the discovery of new prospects.

As a suitable professional you will have a minimum of 10 years post education experience with a recognised operator in the Oil and Gas industry. The role will give you the opportunity to drive the business forward by providing geophysical expertise in the evaluation and assessment of new hydrocarbon plays, and will allow you the freedom to develop acquired acreage. You will have experience of working within a fully integrated subsurface team of geoscientists, and previous experience of unconventional plays (heavy oil, CBM, shale) would be a particular asset.

This role is aimed at a truly professional oil finder, who has an indubitable understanding of the full E&P lifecycle, as well as significant business acumen. This opportunity will involve mentoring and training of junior staff in unconventional new ventures plays, and would be best suited to a dynamic self starter who has the ability to work independently when necessary.

Attraction and retention of human capital is of paramount importance to my client's global success, and as such they regularly review remuneration packages on offer to ensure that market leading remuneration will be offered.

We believe investigating alternative employment opportunities a highly personal exercise, where confidentiality is paramount. As such should your preference at the first stage be to have a discussion prior to supplying details I would welcome you contact me on the details below any time up to 21:00 (GMT)
