Title: Technical director - EARTHPPL192Location: North SeaTerms: StaffDescription Our client is a mid-size integrated international Exploration & Production company which operates assets across three continents. They are seeking the services of a technical director to head up their Climate department, of which the primary objective is to elevate the company's ethical profile within the international scientific and engineering community. Reporting directly to the department's Vice-President, the successful candidate will be leading projects for the capture of CO2 and it's re-injection in tight-rock reservoirs to increase pressure and ultimately enhance oil recovery. Duties will include the full coordination of studies followed by the launch of pilot projects and finally the management of full scale projects. Applicants must hold an engineering degree in petroleum engineering (or a relevant discipline) and have at least 15 years of relevant experience within the upstream oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in subsurface project management. Previous experience in carbon sequestration and C02 injection for EOR are absolute musts. This role offers the chance to work in an exciting new field of petroleum engineering, where success will attract international technical and environmental recognition.
