We are currently looking to locate an experienced Operations Supervisor for a Canadian upstream operator.

Our client is an upstream E&P business with heavy oil assets and operations at a number of sites across Canada. This particular role will involve coordinating, directing and when required, supporting a skilled and highly specialized multidiscipline workforce to ensure all necessary operational and maintenance tasks and workloads are prioritized and undertaken in line with industry HSEQ standards and policies.

Various administrative duties will be required; Setting operational strategies and objectives, driving an ethos of reducing operational costs and ensuring a continual focus on optimization.

My client requires a candidate with at least 10yrs of relevant industry experience including SAGD and or Thermal Oil recovery operations having worked in a similar position with a recognized upstream oil and gas company. It is pre-requisite for candidates holds at least a 2nd class power engineering qualification (or equiv.). Candidates need to be self-starters who have the ability to anticipate problems and who are able and willing to adjust to meet the demands of a small yet expanding operation.
