Title: Chief Process EngineerLocation: EuropeTerms: Day rate ContractDescription Petroleum People's Facilities Practice is currently working with an Independent E&P Company who is looking to secure the services of a Chief Process Engineer. With interests and assets throughout Europe, North Africa, West Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South America and the US Gulf of Mexico they are an innovative organisation who strive to continue developing their assets and exploring new ventures. With huge success in challenging geographical environments this company's production rate is currently in the region of 800,000bpd. The successful candidate will hold global functional discipline responsibility alongside providing hands on process engineering support. You will be involved in numerous projects from initial concept, development plans, project specifications, design, execution and start-up. You will also contribute to the identification of future technologies and applications fostering technological advances and implementation. This senior level role will require you to liaise with other chief discipline engineers identifying team development and training needs and offering advice as how to best organize process engineers across the company's global locations. Creation and maintenance of knowledge management systems for use within the engineering disciplines will also be within your remit. The main areas of responsibility will be focused on technical governance, technical development and staff development and deployment. You will define the technical competence framework, setting technical policies and standards, and managing all regional activities. Developing discipline improvement programs you will enhance technical capability and productivity ensuring best practice. Managing the global discipline skill pool you will ensure discipline standardization across all geographical locations, identifying future needs and areas of development. With proven leadership skills you will have previously worked within a multidisciplinary environment and have experience of FEED, Project and Production phases. As a Chief Process Engineer you will have an MSc / phD in Chemical Engineering, 15 years+ of upstream oil and gas experience and direct exposure to multiple international locations. Experience of working with a recognised operator in a leadership role is a pre requisite as is significant offshore and operator experience.
