I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reservoir Engineer to work for a Joint Venture in Vietnam on a short term contract. This business is operating 2 offshore fields, one conventional clastic and one fractured granite basin, and on the back of a successful exploration campaign they require internal expertise to lead the impending development phase. The incumbent will join a small multidisciplinary team, working alongside a mixture of expat and local personnel on a 3-6 month contract.

Successful applicants will have a strong background in classic Reservoir Engineering to enable them to take sole responsibility for building full-field dynamic models from scratch. Further tasks within this role will include input into the preparation of field development plans and giving advice on the strategic location and volume of infill wells. Previous exposure to fractured fields is of the utmost importance and a working knowledge of Asian assets is desirable.

I am looking to engage senior professionals with more than 10 years post-graduation experience. The short term nature of the contract on offer will best suit seasoned consultants who are available to move to Vietnam in around 8 weeks time. My client is offering a competitive dollar day rate and will provide accommodation.
