The Reservoir Engineering Practice at Petroleum People is working on behalf of a mid-sized European operator to source an experienced Reservoir Engineer for its Stavanger office. This business has applied an innovative technical approach to develop an impressive production rate from traditionally difficult fields whilst maintaining a lean, top quartile team of engineers. The result has been rapid expansion into a host of international environments and they are now committed to developing their Norwegian business. As such, I am looking to engage suitable candidates with the ambition to contribute to my client's future success.

The incoming Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for managing existing assets and identifying growth opportunities. Specific responsibilities will include classic reservoir engineering activities such as model building and Eclipse simulation, production forecasting, field development planning and reservoir surveillance. Additional tasks will include evaluating new business opportunities, giving advice on project economics, performing risk and uncertainty analysis and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Successful applicants are expected to have 10+ years of post-graduate experience with international operating companies and MUST have worked on Norwegian assets. Strong, demonstrable simulation skills will be supported by a broad understanding of the entire upstream industry.
