Title: Chief Reservoir Engineer - EARTHPPL677Location: Continental EuropeTerms: StaffDescription The Reservoir Engineering practice at Petroleum People has been sourced to identify and attract an exceptional candidate to take up a Managerial position with a market leading mid-sized independent operator. My client has applied an innovative technical approach to develop an impressive production rate approaching 1m bopd from traditionally difficult fields whilst maintaining a lean, top quartile team of engineers. In order to facilitate future growth they have created a new head office-based corporate department to oversee their global assets, providing leadership and direction to the worldwide engineering communities. This has created a unique and extremely exciting opportunity for an established senior professional to take functional responsibility for the Reservoir Engineering discipline on a global scale. Essentially the Chief Reservoir Engineer will create and implement a 5 year business plan, aligning my client's overall strategy with the activities taking place on individual international assets and ensuring that the personnel in place is of sufficient quantity and quality to deliver. The role is one that combines the responsibilities of skill-pool manager, technical consultant and business strategist and ultimately the requirements are to maintain my client's record of technological excellence, driving an increase in production rates beyond an already impressive level and ensuring that suitable resources are in place across the group. It also includes a project-based operational focus which will involve technical audits, troubleshooting and direct input at all phases of new and ongoing activities. This is an immediate requirement, I am looking to engage suitable professionals in the next 2 weeks. Applicants must have more than 20 years of upstream experience and will currently be working as a Chief Reservoir Engineer, on at least a regional scale, for a renowned international operating company. They will have a demonstrable track record of training specialists in their discipline, a comprehensive understanding of the E&P business as a whole and they will enjoy developing internal cross-functional relationships.
