Our Facilities Engineering recruitment practice has recently been engaged to identify an experienced Cost Estimation Engineer for an independent operator with multi £billion revenues and a reputation for technical innovation. With a favorable cost model reflected in their measured mergers and acquisitions activity, our client is now in a position of great corporate strength moving forward. In order to profit from recent upturn in acquisition, they are now looking to add this Cost Estimation Engineer to their Corporate Projects and Engineering department.

The main function of this role will be to develop/adapt cost estimating methods appropriate for the various levels of estimates as well as to develop and maintain a database for worldwide onshore and offshore cost estimating. The role will also encompass the preparation of estimates for various projects, ranging from conceptual screening estimates to detailed estimates forming the basis for budget proposals

As this role is aimed at industry professionals a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required working with recognised operators in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in cost estimating, exposure to risk management as well as an interest in project planning and management. It is necessary for the candidate to be able to show competency in building and documenting auditable and traceable estimates
