Description

Utilising unique engineering solutions in the development of their operated fields have lead to my client being regarded as a leader in innovation throughout the emirates. The company has recently concluded a detailed appraisal of current production from offshore fields and as a result are set to implement an ambitious programme to enhance and optimise this production; activity that has significant investment already secured.

In order to deliver their business objectives we have been asked to secure a talented rotating equipment specialist to lead a team of mechanical engineers to provide rotating equipment support to the offshore production operations. The role will require knowledge and experience of pumps, gas turbines and gas compressors to ensure ongoing safe operation whilst maximising equipment output.

The role is one of a technical authority providing:

• Leadership and direction to reports both in the office as well as those offshore. It will fall within your responsibility to ensure these staff member's possess the competencies to deliver quality and timely support to the field based personnel.
• A point of contact for rotating equipment manufacturers to ensure continued effective communication as well as continued liaison with the contracts department to ensure OEM support contracts are maintained.
• Justified recommendations for equipment upgrade and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Budget Responsibility

In order to succeed within this position you will be required to have gained at least 10 years post educational experience working with rotating equipment in the field; 5 years of which were at a senior level responsible for mechanical equipment maintenance and 3 years holding responsibility for long term planning, budgeting and cost forecasting and OEM liason.
