The Reservoir Engineering Practice at Petroleum People has been sourced to secure the services of an experienced Production Engineer for a market-leading oil and gas company. This business operates at the forefront of technological innovation, employing a strategy which has delivered an enviable global production rate and an impressive capital position in the current economic climate.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for routine well and reservoir surveillance, problem well diagnostics and repair.
• Ensure production data management system (PDMS) is fully functional, both for the daily reporting and engineering analysis software.
• Responsible for well and field production performance, production allocation, database management, investigate, control coning, maintain choke model, linking Material Balance, Nodal Analysis and surface Network Software (Prosper-GAP - MBal)
• Ensure adequate well start-up and shut down procedures are prepared and followed for the Murphy Kikeh Deepwater development, for both the subsea and Dry Tree Unit wells.
• Close liaison with facilities and reservoir engineers. Liaise with Well Services intervention Supervisor for well servicing operations and maintenance of platform infrastructure.
• Work with Cross-functional team to define and update the field completion strategy.
• Production chemistry: Manage the chemical contract during the life of the field.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the flow assurance techniques and programs.
• Quarterly field/Site visits for sharing production and reservoir surveillance strategy.
• Support the Management of Change procedures where applicable.
• Familiar with the computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Familiar with the document control system.

Requirements :

• Degree in Engineering, preferably in Petroleum Engineering.
• Familiar with issues relating to drilling, production and workover of offshore dry-tree and Subsea wells.
• Familiar with reservoir, completions and construction engineering.
• Experience with production optimization using computer softwares
• Willingness to travel to the field, both onshore and offshore.
• Strong team building and presentation skills.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.
