Contracts Manager – Geo-Environmental SI Specialist

Specialist Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Company are
looking to recruit a Contracts Manager for their office in the West Midlands.
The position involves the day to day organisation, co-ordination, supervision
and undertaking of the company’s workload. This includes all aspects; marketing,
liaison with and advising clients, design of investigations, tendering, contract
documentation, organisation/supervision of sub contractors and technical staff,
site works, production of laboratory testing schedules, final bill measurement
etc.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil
Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or related subjects. In addition to
this it would be beneficial if you have achieved Chartered status or are working
towards it. You should also have experience of:

The management of ground investigation contracts including:

Organisation of sub contractors, drilling crews, plant,
machinery, equipment etc.,

Be fully conversant with British Standards and be fully
competent at supervising drilling crews on site, trial pitting, logging soils
and rock strata, installation and monitoring of gas/groundwater standpipes and
other instrumentation, in-situ testing etc.
