This global consultancy undertake a wide range of high
profile, technically demanding projects and have developed a reputation for
technical excellence, innovation and project delivery and being an employer of
choice. They are currently looking for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join
their team in their Rochdale office.
You will undertake all aspects of their noise and vibration
services, including noise surveys across the UK, predictive calculations and
modeling, technical report writing, environmental impact assessment,
consultation with regulators, noise mitigation advice for development and
industrial facilities, and quality assurance of deliverable reports. Work with
other members of the Advice Group, providing an advisory role in all aspects of
their noise services, and a mentor role to more junior noise staff. You will
prepare tenders, project proposals and estimate costs, liaise with other staff
and divisions and continue to build the profile of the noise services within
company. You will liaise with existing clients and contribute to developing new
business opportunities, and be prepared to work abroad occasionally. You will
participate in the general office activities as might be reasonably expected of
a team in an outer office of the company.
You will have a science degree or post graduate qualification
in acoustics (or equivalent), previous experience preferably in consulting or
the private sector; Demonstrable experience of noise monitoring surveys,
environmental noise assessment, EIA, PPG24, BS4142 and PPC permitting; Full IoA
membership; Commercial awareness, good report writing, project management and
resource management skills; Ability to work as a member of a team; Experience of
noise modeling software
