Fantastic Opportunity for a Geotechnical or Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £28-45K+

We require an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer with typically 5 + years experience in Geotechnical Analysis and Design for our clients office based int eh South West.

Job Requirements

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

• First degree in Civil Engineering or similar related Engineering qualification

• An MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar subjects

• Approaching or recent Chartered Engineer (ICE)

• Strong foundation, basement, earthworks and ground treatment design skills

• A good understanding of ground investigation techniques and its importance to deriving appropriate design parameters

• Good Interpretative Report writing skills

• Experienced operator of Geotechnical Design and Analysis software for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability etc

• Working knowledge and interest with developing 2 and 3D soil structure interaction Fine Element Analysis *

• The ability to plan and deliver projects whilst working in a team or under minimal supervision is essential

• An aptitude for working on international projects.

* The FEA and 2/3D experience is critical to the role and you should have experience of this if you are applying for this position
