The Role:

We are currently looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical and management support as required at our London Office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of geotechnical designs, from initial concepts through to detailed designs, including slope stability, gravity and embedded retaining walls, shallow and piled foundations.
• Interaction with other teams ,establishing the design briefs and detailing the designs.
• Liaison with external and internal clients.
• Providing assistance with preparation of proposals.
• Preparation of geotechnical assessments and desk studies.
• Preparation of contract documents.
• Preparation, supervision and interpretation of ground investigations, including those conducted overwater.
• Report writing.
• Checking own work and work by others in accordance with the Quality Management System.
• Technical coaching of staff and management of project related work by junior engineers.
• Advertising and publicizing the work of the company through technical publications, participation in conferences and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• • MSC in Geotechnics (or equivalent)
• • CEng, MICE or approaching this level (or equivalent)
• • Good communicator (written and verbal)
• • Hands on geotechnical design experience
• • Preparation and supervision of ground investigations

Desirable:

• Use of Eurocodes;
• Seismic design
