This company are one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. They are looking for wind turbine technicians for an Offshore Wind Farm based at Essex. They are one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom.

You will perform work on our offshore turbines and on our onshore and offshore substations.

Your primary tasks will be to: Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical components; Service of offshore wind turbines, Repair mechanical structures; Plan service and maintenance works together with our technical team.

If you have the relevant experience and skills, your role may also incorporate High Voltage service and troubleshooting and/or working and acting as an Authorised Person.

You will have a full apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering. Further qualifications such as a BTEC HNC would be advantageous, but not essential. An aptitude for working at height and off shore is essential. You will be well experienced in troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components. They will offer you on-the-job training as well as courses in offshore wind farm technology.

It is important that you are willing to work in a team and are prepared to enter into a rota system. Your job will be Rota based, and due to that your working hours will vary. Furthermore, you must be prepared to enter into a scheduled training programme for a period of approximately one year. The training programme includes stays on some of our other offshore wind farms in the United Kingdom and Denmark. You will participate in construction projects both on site and on other locations in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.
