This international consultancy are currently seeking an
ambitious and dynamic Environmental Consultant to take a technical, project
management and business development role for their geo-environmental team in
Leeds. You would be expected to take on management responsibilities and
contribute to the development and leadership of the team in London.
The role would involve the following; Leading the delivery of
geo-environmental projects to major clients; Management of people, projects and
budgets; Business development, client Liaison and care; Supporting other
divisions and sister companies. This will suit a strong technical and commercial
background in development and remediation led geo-environmental work,
established leadership and management skills and proven application of QRA.
You must have proven consultancy experience and a broad range
of core geo-environmental skills used to evaluate issues associated with
ownership and development of contaminated land. Our projects involve work across
all client sectors requiring investigation and design skills and the successful
applicant will have experience of working with major clients and on flagship
projects.
Key skills should include: Technical knowledge of
contaminated land, with geotechnical knowledge an advantage; Leadership and
co-ordination of appropriate multi-disciplinary teams; Technical overview and
project direction for a contaminated land, geotechnical and geo-environmental
projects; Financial, technical and commercial management of projects; Financial
and commercial management of the business unit; Business development in line
with strategic objectives; Assist in the development and delivery of service
areas complimentary to existing skill sets; Staff coaching, development and
mentoring; Ability to participate in the strategic development and maturing of
development sector offerings in cooperation with other senior soil and
groundwater staff.
