Senior Petrophysicist
Norway
Salary: £110K+
Please note you should be willing and eligible to relocate
and work in Norway
Our client is looking for an experienced Petrophysicist to
provide technical and business development leadership in their Stavanger Office.
Any successful candidate would have to demonstrate a capability for developing
new business and creating opportunity across the entire portfolio of their
technical services. The successful candidate will manage all of their
petrophysical services in Norway and will be responsible for:
Building and managing a team of petrophysicists
Technical quality assurance and
New business development
You will form part of the leadership team working closely
with the Global Technical Head of Petrophysics to consolidate and enhance their
reputation of technical excellence in petrophysics.
Key Requirements:

Recognized industry expert in petrophysics with a track
record of publication and /or presenting conference papers.

North Sea Experience (UK/Norway).

Familiarity with advanced petrophysical methods and
technology, In particular we would welcome applications from petrophysicists
with any combination of the following experience: Norwegian fields, Carbonate
petrophysics, Unconventional resources (e.g. tight gas, shale oil), Image
logging and integration, Well and reservoir management and surveillance
logging, Production logging, Cased hole logging, North African/Middle East oil
and gas fields, Understanding of fluid properties and dynamics, fractures and
faults systems, and Risk and uncertainty analysis and volumetric estimates.

Experienced in both a service company and operator
environment.

Capability to coach and mentor junior staff.

An active professional network within and beyond
petrophysics.

The capability to identify opportunities and generate new
business.

Be prepared to run training courses and from time-to-time

Capable of managing technical projects.

Capable of conducting technical consultancy, either
stand-alone or working as part of an integrated team.

Multilingual skills would be an advantage, particularly
Norwegian/French.
Qualifications:

Relevant degree (e.g. Petroleum Geology, Physics, etc.) and
preferably a Masters
