Hydraulic Engineer

Job Description:

• Experience within the water industry with a focus on all aspects of Hydraulic Engineering/ Fluid Mechanics

• Experience of producing hydraulic profiles through water and wastewater treatment plants.

• Experience of the hydraulic design of pipelines including surge analysis

• Conduct site surveys, field investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects.

• Produce calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs will provide an appropriate solution.

• Produce written reports for specific projects.

• Check technical content of calculations and reports.

• Maintain communication with key contacts.

• Using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients.

• Complete all work in line with Core Values and in accordance with

Person Specification:

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or maths based discipline.

• A corporate member (or working towards corporate membership) of a relevant engineering institution i.e. ICE/CIWEM/IMechE/IChemE

• Experience in Hydraulic Engineering/Fluid Mechanics

• Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.

• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

• Strong communication skills – both written and oral.

• Good client service focus.

• Excellent organisational skills and able to multi-task.
