Chartered Civil Engineer (Associate Director)

£35-45K+

£35,000 to £45,000 per annum

A Chartered Civil Engineer is required for an engineering, environmental & planning consulting company, in Cheshire or Derbyshire. Will also consider applications from

  • Principal Civil Design Engineers

  • Technical Directors

The Chartered Engineer will

  • Manage a team of engineers and be responsible for overall technical control and training.

  • Track record of successful involvement and delivery of civil engineering projects.

  • An ability to identify client needs and relate them into the project is essential.

  • Strong financial control is required with a demonstrable track record in contract preparation and management (ICE, NEC3, IChemE), project management skills, programme preparation and cost control.

  • You will have an aptitude for excellent verbal and written communication and report writing.

  • Will be expected to chair client presentations, prepare proposals and negotiate fees. Business development, project control and profitability will be expected.

As a Civil Engineer we expect a working knowledge of

  • Hydraulics

  • Geotechnics

  • A lesser extent structural engineering.

  • If you can demonstrate a particular skill in slope stability analysis, earthworks, flood risk assessment using PPS25 or TAN15, land drainage, or infrastructure design this would be to your advantage.

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering Degree

  • Experience of chartered status

  • Consultant background

  • Business development and

  • Man management

  • Project management
