Geotechnical Engineer – Landfill Design

My client has a requirement for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer at their
offices in Cheshire. This is a ground engineering role which will include
landfill design solutions for major landfill clients. They are looking for a
Chartered Engineer, with a first degree in Civil Engineering and preferably a
higher qualification (Masters) in Geotechnical Engineering.
Candidates should possess a sound knowledge of ground engineering and ground
treatment applications, an understanding of landfill design requirements,
proficiency in Geotechnical Design associated with soil structure interaction,
foundations and all aspects of ground engineering, with specific relation to
design of ground improvement systems and a strong commercial awareness.
This position will play a key role in providing expertise to existing
landfill projects and provide a crucial resource in order to pursue future
opportunities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Client liaison with clients across the UK Region
- To identify and generate additional commercial opportunities within the
market
- Design and Manage foundations, piling, ground treatment grouting and
landfill projects.
- Be responsible for ground engineering designs produced for clients.
