Our Client provides environmental planning and landscape design solutions for local authorities and private developers. They are therefore seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced ecological consultant to undertake ecological surveys and assessments, particularly of designated protected species.

The position will involve work such as:

  • Ecological and protected species surveys and assessments

  • Extended Phase I ecological assessments

  • Report and proposal writing

  • Project management

The successful candidate will have:

  • A BSc degree with a minimum 2.1 in ecology, environmental biology or similar

  • Field ecological experience

  • A sound understanding of UK nature conservation legislation, regulation and administration

  • Botany Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Arboriculture

  • At least one protected species licences an advantage

  • High standards of written and oral communication and IT skills

  • Driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
