Job Description
My clients Air Quality & Greenhouse Gas Management team is
currently seeking to recruit a Senior Air Quality Consultant. Their team of air
quality specialists is drawn from a diverse range of disciplines and
backgrounds, enabling us to build on the many synergies across the company.
Working initially on a contract basis, your work will involve a wide variety of
tasks, ranging from air quality impact assessments (with a strong transportation
aspect) to research and development projects, as would be expected from such a
well-established air quality consultancy.
In order to fulfil the intended remit, it is expected that
the successful candidate will have commensurate experience in the commercial
environment industry. With projects across the UK, some travel is required.
There is also the potential for occasional overseas travel as and when required
Requirements
Specific targets and responsibilities within the team will be
tailored to the successful applicant, who will work closely with the Head of
Business and Head of Technology for Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Management
however, successful applicants should possess the following:

MSc or equivalent standard in an environmental discipline

Experience of providing technical support on highways
projects using DMRB and ADMS-Roads (or BREEZE Roads)

Preference will be given to applicants who are members of a
suitable professional organisation (such as the IAQM)

Experience in project management, with the capability to
co-ordinate inputs from their own and my clients other teams into deliverables
for internal and external clients

A high level of commercial awareness and a demonstrable
ability for business development and work-winning in a relevant industry

Experienced in undertaking air quality assessments for a
range of purposes and client types

Experience in managing or undertaking stages of assessment
from scoping studies to detailed emissions and dispersion modelling
-
Awareness of innovative techniques for solving air quality
problems including mitigation design
-
An appreciation of climate change and carbon management
will also be a major benefit to the wider business but is not absolutely
critical.

Due to the nature of this role, A UK driving license is
essential.
Training and Development
My client develops individuals through a portfolio of
training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your
abilities and talents. Training in specific technical aspects of the work shall
be provided through a combination of mentoring on project work by technical
specialists and provision of training courses (internal / external) as deemed
appropriate. Support with attaining qualifications with the relevant
professional institute shall be provided through relevant project work.
