PhD Studentships



Fully funded sponsored PhD studentship are available to candidates. Each of the studentships is available for three years full-time study and provides a substantial bursary. Candidates should hold a good first degree (First Class, Upper-Second Class or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.

We would welcome applications from suitable qualified candidates to study in the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development:

  • Understanding and predicting human comfort in the built environment using artificial intelligent techniques
  • Low-carbon heating and cooling of buildings using passive and hybrid geothermal heat pump systems
