Position:

To succeed in adding electricity and renewable energies, TotalEnergies. created a new entity, OneTech, which combines all the corporate departments related to technical issues or R&D at our different segments (Exploration & Production, Refining & Chemical, Marketing & Services and Gas, Renewables & Power). With a 3,400-strong workforce, OneTech will be split into three hubs: an Industrial Hub supporting the Company's expansion in gas, renewables, electricity and carbon emissions reduction, a Research & Development Hub will pool all of TotalEnergies' research activities to anticipate the Company's transformation, by giving priority to the low-carbon mix and a Support Hub.

By integrating all the Company's technical and R&D expertise in a single entity, OneTech becomes one of the pillars of TotalEnergies' transformation into a multi energy company.

Within OneTech, the R&D Program " Distributed Energy Resources " has the ambition of optimizing the valuation of distributed and controllable energy resources such as heating, electrical vehicles, batteries, local power generation (renewables or transition energy), as well as industrial processes.

The program's objective is to contribute to the decarbonization our customers' energy consumption while providing them with new services (efficiency, comfort…)

Focused on activities such as Renewable Energy Communities, Collective Self-consumption, Industrial Processes, Smart Buildings, New Mobilities, Power Trading/Flexibility, B2B & B2C Power & Gas Distribution, the program is organized in sub-programs (Themes) each of which is managed by a Theme Manager.

Under the " DER Decarbonization " Theme Manager's authority, the Decarbonization Product Manager drives the conception and development of sizing and modeling tools to help public and private sector actors (industrials, territories, etc.) decarbonize their activities. As such, he/she will have the following responsibilities:

  • Define the theme roadmap, starting from specifications and requirements expressed in terms of business needs, but also taking into account the legal and regulatory frameworks and the market's technological and business trends. He/She leads ideation and specification workshops with business and technical partners, in both internal and external contexts.
  • Manage and lead with a "product" point of view rather than "project" only, favoring scalable and generic solutions and challenging businesses' requests given legal and technological trends.
  • Lead and track developments and milestones, anticipate planning risks and deviations
  • Lead an ecosystem composed of internal and external partners such as academia, local administrations, industries…
  • Write briefing notes and position papers on prospective topics
  • Create and provide training to facilitate the appropriation and understanding of decarbonization concepts by our business and technical partners and stakeholders

Profile:

  • You have an engineering background with at least 10 years of working experience of which 5 were in the electricity sector.
  • You have excellent skills in complex project - and product management linked to "Smart Energy" topics
  • You have a sound knowledge of power market regulation in Europe
  • You are fluent in English
  • You have significant practical experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban...) and are aware of UX Design challenges.

The job is based in Palaiseau with remote working possibilities 2 days/week. Regular trips, mainly in Paris area are foreseen, occasionally in France or abroad.
