Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Renewable Energy
The applicant should have a first degree and PhD in Engineering, Physics or a relevant science along with university, or other tertiary level, teaching and research experience in Renewable Energy Technologies. Some industrial experience would also be advantageous.
The successful applicant will develop and teach a new course on Energy Resources as part of the Earth Sciences programme as well as develop and teach two advanced courses in their specific area of expertise. Preference will be given to applicants whose area of specialization is of particular relevance to the Caribbean, such as solar, wind, wave and geothermal energy technologies or future fuel research.
The appointee will be a member of the Faculty of Pure & Applied Sciences and affiliated with the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics & Physics or the Department of Biological & Chemical Sciences, depending on their specialisation. He/she will be expected to develop collaborative teaching and research within the Faculty. Duties will include supervision of graduate students registered for M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees and there will also be the opportunity to develop specialised and postgraduate courses in the appointee's area of special expertise.
